This time of year when we are so busy shopping, baking
and decorating it is great to have FREE things to keep the
little ones busy. This site will do just that!
sillybooks.net is a an
animated world of free reading, writing and learning fun for
kids! There is so much to click on at this website I
can't even begin to sum it all up! Famous poems and
stories animated and set to music, animated letters, animated
interactive counting games, games, puzzles, music, cartoons
and MORE! This website is a blast!
You can
also submit your children's stories for a chance at having
them produced as an animated book, complete with voices, music
and sound effects for all to enjoy. Although most of the
content on the website is intended for younger kids the
writing contests are open to all ages. Who wouldn't want to
see their own story animated? This would be a great
project for older students to learn about writing to appeal to
a specific age group.
There is even a
Teacher Sections with
links to lesson plans for some of the stories.
