to consider joining the Christian Education Awareness Network
(CEANet).
The Christian Education Awareness Network (CEANet) is a

debate with regard to the impact of worldviews which stem
from humanist compared to divine revelation. Here is a short

| • |
Education (public, private, and homeschool) |
| • |

On this day in 1980, gold hit a record-breaking price of
more than $800 per ounce. Just six years earlier, the price
of gold had been less than $200 per ounce.
Golden math activity
First, find the price of gold today by visiting this currency
site. Then, take the weight of different objects around
the house and figure out how much they would be worth if
their value were the same per ounce as the value of gold.
For example: If a can of peas weighs 15 ounces, and the
current price of gold is $500 per ounce, then the can of
peas would be worth $7,500 if it had the same value as gold!
(Wow, we’d all better take up gardening!) Let kids
try figuring it out using their own weight also. Remember,
gold is valued
in price per ounce, and there are 16 ounces in a pound.
