Field Trips

The United Astronomy Club of New Jersey - http://www.uacnj.org/. You can observe many neat things in the sky. They usually have dark sky observations at Jenny Jump Forest near Hope, NJ.

The Weis Ecology Center is the New Jersey Audubon Society located in Ringwood, NJ. They host a myriad of hikes and field trips to observe birds, wildflowers, etc. There are different mines and caves that groups can go exploring winter, spring, summer, or fall.

The New Jersey Botanical Gardens is also located in Ringwood, NJ. It hosts a large display of shurbs and plants.

Across from the gardens, you will find the Ringwood Manor. It was owned by Robert Erskine. It was also the supply center for the American Revolution. Supposedly, George Washington slept there.
