Treasure Box Press does it again!! The ABC's of the Stars and Study of the Stars "Science Adventures" are absolute winners! Treasure Boxes come with everything needed to complete the studies, including a wonderful paperback book!

In the ABC's of the Stars PreK-2nd grade kit, the included book is Maria's Comet, a sweet story of Maria (inspired by Maria Mitchell, America's first woman astronomer) and her dreams that took flight each evening when the stars came out. This study follows an ABC (hence the name) format...C is for Constellation...a group of stars....J is for Jesus...the bright and morning star, He knows us all by name and loves us just the way we are....V is for Van Gogh...the famous 19th century painter who painted A Starry Night....and so on. Included are a teacher's manual and student workbook, (as in all Treasure Boxes), that cover a wide variety of lessons and projects--lots to learn--LOTS of FUN! Many subjects are covered in this study - science, astronomy (of course),bible, math, language arts, geography, arts & crafts, and more! Some of the projects included are mapping out constellations, making your own 3-D stars, and keeping a star gazing log! This kit introduces children to basic astronomy and makes it so interesting! We have so much fun with these kits in our family!

The Study of the Stars Science Adventure for 3rd to 6th grade ages delves into the Stars even deeper and of course comes with a great paperback--this time it's the Constellations of the Night Sky, by Bruce LaFontaine! This book is not only jam packed with interesting information, it also doubles as a coloring book! This is no ordinary coloring book either folks; this book will have your children learning detailed facts about constellations, and stars....and even picking up some Greek, Latin, and Arabic along the way! As do all Treasure Box Science Adventures, this kit comes complete with everything to complete the study (even a full size flashlight-with the batteries!).

The student workbook and teacher's manual cover so many subjects, (science and astronomy of course--also--Bible, math, writing, vocabulary, spelling, arts & crafts, and geography) and NEAT projects-they even include ideas for extension projects and field trips! Just a handful of the projects are drawing constellations, making your own 'twinkling' stars, observing a stars magnitude, and keeping an observation log. The list goes on; fourteen different activities in all, and ideas for MORE!

We can't rant and rave ENOUGH about Treasure Box Press' Science Adventure Kits--they are THAT NEAT! Treasure Boxes are so simple to use, they come with everything; just open the Treasure Box and dive right in! They are complete studies. They make learning science FUN, really FUN! I love teaching with them. They cover everything for me and I find that you can teach the different levels with different children and they fit quite nicely together!) The children love using them. They just think they are fun projects...which they ARE, but they are learning the whole way through!

You just have to check out their website, as more Treasure Boxes are available all the time. They are so reasonably priced--you just can't go wrong with Treasure Box Press!! My Highest Recommendation!
