Mothers constantly have people telling us how important our job is and how important it is to do it well. Unfortunately, since no one of us is perfect, we know we've made some mistakes. And usually we are wracked with guilt about those mistakes. We torment ourselves with "if onlys" and "what ifs" when our children get into trouble or make choices we disagree with or know are downright wrong.
Alice Scott-Ferguson encourages us to let go of the guilt, to stop having our children be our identity or allowing their choices to determine our self-worth. Instead we mothers need to do the best we can, find out who we are in Christ, step back, and trust God to work in our children's lives.
If you are dealing with any of the above feelings, please get this book. Your outlook will change for the better as you experience freedom in Jesus!
