In this 75-minute recording, Jim Weiss tells an abridged version of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The narrator adds drama as he escorts young and old alike through a compelling version of Jules Verne's classic underwater tale.
Our favorite part was that it was "really, really adventurous" (10-year-old). My eldest (12) prefers the book because it's "more explanatory," though he'd "really like to hear Mr. Weiss tell the whole story." Jim Weiss doesn't disappoint in his presentation. For those familiar with the original novel this recording may be either a pleasant reminder of their reading or an impetus to read the book again.
