Latin Memory Songs and CD is a song book and CD that places Latin grammar to familiar tunes such as "She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain", "Jingle Bells", "Bingo", "Skip to My Lou", and "The ABC Song". The songs cover the Latin grammar chart paradigm, noun endings (1st through 5th declensions), verb endings and conjugation rules (1st through 4th conjugations) for the present and perfect tense, irregular verbs Sum and Possum (present and perfect tenses), preposition cases, pronouns (1st, 2nd, and 3rd person and relative, possessive, demonstrative, and reflexive), 3rd declension noun genders, special "ius" adjectives, and cardinal numbers. The CD includes both classical and ecclesiastical pronunciations, along with tracks of the music only.
It is recommended that you use this CD alongside whatever Latin curriculum you have chosen. Half of the battle to learning Latin is remembering all of the endings. Even the youngest students can learn Latin chants with the help of this Latin Memory Songs, making this a great addition to any Latin curriculum. I used this during our morning memory work time with my sons (ages 9, 8, 6, 4, and 3) and it was enjoyed by all, even though only my oldest two boys are formally studying Latin. How can I not love a CD that has my 6 year old singing Latin conjugations and declensions? This product is a great addition to any homeschool that is studying, or will be studying, Latin.
