What a lovely aid to your personal devotional time! My Bible Journal is a spiral-bound 8½ by 6-inch book to help you organize your prayer and Bible reading. Attached to the spiral binding is a ribbon and charm place marker, and the accompanying, matching bookmark trimmed with the same ribbon and coordinating charm would be perfect for your Bible.

The journal has a sturdy clear plastic cover on the front and back for durability and to protect the book from spills. A colorful floral photograph adorns the cardstock cover page.

Turn the page and you will see an ID page for personal information. The pages are a pale green parchment with black print. Graphics and Scripture passages are sprinkled throughout the journal. This is a beautiful, ultra-feminine keepsake for younger and older ladies alike; confirmands, teenagers, and mothers come to mind.

Let me take you through the seven sections one by one.

The first section is for Bible reading. There are two pages of Bible reading tips on various ways of reading through the Bible and suggestions on how to study the Bible. Included here is a check-off chart of the Bible by book and chapter. You will also find a place to list personal Bible reading goals and 20 pages to record Bible readings by date, book/chapter, and notes.

Section two is entitled Bible Memorization. There is space to log the verses you commit to memory and a place to write out verses to memorize and favorite Bible verses.

Bible Studies is the third section. Both topical and character studies are explained here, and ample space is given for logging both kinds.

The fourth section is for prayer. It is divided into two sections: prayer requests (date, request, and answer) and personal prayers, with space to write them out.

There are also sections to record favorite hymns and favorite Bible stories as well as a special section for missionaries, with specific suggestions on how to pray for missionary families, places to note specific information about each missionary, and clear pockets for missionary prayer cards.

Even though each section is divided by a cardstock page with decoratively cut corners, some way of quickly finding each section would be an improvement. Tabs or different-colored pages are possibilities that immediately come to mind.

My Bible Journal would be a welcome addition to any teen girl's or woman's quiet time basket, and it would make a lovely gift for a special lady in your life--perhaps yourself!
