Reading this book has given me a sense of purpose in that I'm focusing more on the character of my children instead of the academics. As I went through all the writers, actors, directors and even presidents that were home schooled, it was impressed on me the value of a solid upbringing in love, support and godly values. In our home school we still make sure we give time for English and Math, but my focus is now on developing a character that will be able to sustain and serve our children throughout their whole lives. It would be a shame if they learn all about the multiplication tables, but never learn how to use failure for something good. This book should be on every home schooled parents' shelf.
With all the wonderful information in these pages, I would expect the package to be a bit more upscale than it is. The pages are roughly cut and plainly put together, but the spiral comb binding will last for years so this book could be passed from household to household. I recommend you buy a copy for yourself and also several others for passing around. This book will surely be a popular one to give to those skeptics in your life.
