In That Puppy Dog Took My Boots by Shawna Blalock, Jeston, a cute little boy, is all upset because he can't find his favorite pair of boots!

I think children will love this book. The illustrations are simple, silly, and brightly colored. The small size is just right for little hands, and what child can't relate to losing a treasured item?

When I asked my 4-year-old daughter what she liked about the book, she smiled and answered, "I liked that he [Jeston] thought Fred took the boots." Fred is the neighbor's dog, and Jeston is convinced that this certain puppy dog stole his boots.

A neat feature included in this twenty-eight-page paperback is a free download of the audio version of That Puppy Dog Took My Boots. Listen to it on the computer any time, or save it to a portable music device, and your child can listen on the go!

So, for $7.99, your child gets a book, a free audio download, and lots of fun. My daughter liked it, and we've added it to our "paperback basket."
