This kit includes a 32-page project book, six drawing pencils (F, 2H, H, HB, B, 2B), a sketchpad, eraser, pencil sharpener, pencil extender, sandpaper, a blending stump, and an artist's triangle.
The book has helpful information on the tools, and then offers some drawing basics. There are also fourteen complete drawing lessons that can be easily followed. I was quite pleased with my work on a rabbit, a panda bear, and a bulldog. The instructions are straightforward, and having all the materials included makes it easy to get started.
Learning to draw is a valuable skill. It requires the skills of observation and patience, and these are useful in all areas of life, not just art. Walter Foster's Drawing Animals is an easy way to learn drawing, especially since the subject matter is of interest to many of us.
