If you are a parent who gives your young children some educational "TV time" but needs a change of pace from the standard-issue classical videos or cartoons, the Baby Road Trip video series may be just what you're looking for. Appropriate for infants to preschoolers, each of the Baby Road Trip videos focuses on a different "destination" and features specially orchestrated music to fit the theme of the show. The "host," a puppet named Road Trip Ryan, creates consistency between the shows and allows kids to connect with a certain character no matter where they journey together.
Baby Road Trip Circus takes viewers to the Big Top through footage of carnivals and circuses and related toys. Your kids may even get ideas for circus acts of their own after watching the children on the show perform! The Baby Road Trip Circus video features fun carnival music and introduces kids to shapes during the trip.
Baby Road Trip Jungle sends viewers on a safari with Road Trip Ryan. Kids learn their colors as they meet animals from the jungle, rainforest and safari trips. They can even dance along to samba music!
Baby Road Trip Beach made me get ready to pack the sunscreen! Island, reggae and surf music were a FUN way to get away from the "same old, same old" kiddie shows. Numbers are introduced while viewers hang ten and enjoy the sun, sand and surf with Road Trip Ryan.
Baby Road Trip Beach was by far my favorite of the series as an adult, but my preschooler enjoys the Circus video the most. My eight-year-old actually preferred the Jungle show and mentioned that she was "glad to hear something DIFFERENT for once". Even in our family, where classical and jazz rule the roost, it's nice to have a break from time to time?and the Baby Road Trip DVDs were the perfect fit!
