Lifepac Computer Literacy is a computer software tutor program with Lifepac workbooks to help with the software tutor. Alpha Omega does not list a grade level for this product, but I would guess 8th grade and up. The price is very reasonable at 19.95 for the complete set of 2 Lifepacs, 1 CD-ROM, and Answer Key.

The program is for you to learn how to use the software program Excel, which is a software program for spreadsheets. The CD-ROM is full of information to help you learn shortcuts to a lot of different programs because most programs share a lot of the same commands.

There are a total of nine different computer literacy programs for you to choose from. The CD-ROM tutor program is very well made. You are given chapters to choose from and then there are subjects under the chapters to learn about. You click on the one you want to learn from and go from there. It tells you how long it will take you to get through each subject. There is also a test for the subjects with five questions for you to answer. You can take the test before you start the subject, so you know whether or not you need the tutor for that part.

The Lifepac workbooks reinforce what you have been taught on the computer. They are great for people who like the traditional way of doing schoolwork.

My opinion of Lifepac Computer Literacy - Excel is that it is an awesome program for the price that you are going to pay. I think that a lot of us parents who are learning to use computer programs could benefit from this program. I could not find anything about the program that I didn't like. It was simple enough for everyone to use, and not to complex for you to feel that they were talking over your head.
