School Rite has produced a series of handwriting guides and learning aids designed to help our youngest ones with beginning writing skills. The guides are made of pliable plastic, and they give little ones a chance see and feel the letters, numbers, and shapes they are learning to write.
School Rite guides assist with coordinating the hand/eye movement; they also develop and build fine motor control. By forcing the hand to lift where normal lift occurs in the handwriting sequence, they allow the child to correctly form the contour of each letter, number, or shape.
The Giant Alphabet sets are two-inch letters designed for the very beginner learning letter identification and formation. The Manuscript/Transition and Cursive guides feature one-inch letters on one single template that also show arrows to enforce proper stroke sequence and the left to right sequence helps build skills toward reading readiness.
The Activity templates teach stroke sequence and let little ones have fun creating shapes and designs. The Create a Clock template has children designing a clock, while teaching them the correlation of the parts to time movement and time identification skills. Suggested activities come with each template, but you can create tons of ideas, projects, and uses on your own as well.
School-Rite guides are wonderful for young children as well as all ages, 'lefties', and special needs children.
