Kidmagnets

Barker Creek

Barker Creek, the publishers of Draw Write Now, has come out with a wonderful new resource for your preschool and elementary students. Kidmagnets are durable, flat magnets (harder for babies to pry off and stuff under the fridge) with different educational themes. My preschool and first grade students have been learning and having fun with the "A-Z Pictures" and "Magnetic Alphabet." We match the picture to the sound, something my children are motivated to do independently, and later we will use them to practice sounding out and spelling. This is great for students whose writing skills have not caught up to their phonemic awareness. Having a student who struggles with writing coordination, I am excited to have Kidmagnets to reinforce phonics in a tactile way while other skills are developing. Kidmagnets also come in numbers, a color-coded grammar pack and many more.
