A Word A Day Intermediate includes daily activities for grades 4 - 8. A total of 366 lessons include the part of speech, definition, synonyms and antonyms, multiple-meaning entries, an opportunity to make a personal connection to the word, graphic organizers to help build a deeper understanding of the word, and a contextualized sentence. Tips for including the word of the day in other activities are presented, such as creating a word wall on which you collect the new words and organize them according to categories.
