Are you required to keep grades, either by law or by preference? Academic Advantage has an attractive, affordable system for home schooling parents. They publish a Home School Report Card with space to record academic progress in school subject areas, but they also have a space on the report card to chart your child's growth in character development. While you are tracking their progress in mathematics and English, you may also note your observations on whether they are courteous, truthful, kind, and appreciative, among other traits. In addition to the report card, parents may purchase a Home School Cumulative Record folder. This product provides space to record the curriculum used and the grades received for Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Additional space is provided for academic test results and extracurricular activities. These attractive documents will have a prominent place in your family's permanent records. For just a few dollars you can maintain records that will please the relatives and satisfy the legal authorities, where required.

Here's another Academic Advantage review!
Academic Advantage Educational Services wants to help you organize your records! Danielle and William Slater have created a Homeschool Report Card and Homeschool Cumulative Folder. Both products are printed on heavy-duty cardstock, are pleasant to look at, and will hold up to repeated handling. The report card is printed on 8.5" x 11" cardstock with spaces for academic subject grading and character development charting for four school quarters. On the back of the report card is a promotion certificate to be signed by parents. If you have a child who thrives on seeing a physical document that
shows how well they are doing in school, you will like the Homeschool Report Card from Academic Advantage Educational Services. The printed grading scale included on the Homeschool Report Card locks parents into a grading scale they may not use. I suggest that future editions allow the parent to customize this section.
The Cumulative Record Folder neatly holds 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper. It does not have closed edges, so you can fill it with a lot of work. There are spaces for recording student and family information, school attendance history, a recent photograph, testing records, extracurricular activities, and grade information from first through twelfth. The high school section makes it very easy to keep track of grades, credits earned, graduation information, and cumulative GPA. Both products are affordable and can be purchased in bulk for a discount. To contact Academic Advantage you can call them at (615) 452-7365 or fax them at (615) 452-0915. Their e-mail address is academicad@aol.com.
