Prince Talkalot from Gigi Books is a delightfully imaginitive tale set amidst midieval times complete with princes, princesses, daring rescues, and dragons. With wonderful music and sound effects, combined with a touch of lighthearted humor, Prince Talkalot, is sure to captivate your young listeners. It is part of the "stop and think" series offering character lessons along with thought provoking questions which targets children 7 to 13 years of age. May I say that my 7 year old son, Seth thoroughly enjoyed this story.

The story line is about a young prince who finds out that our actions really do speak louder than our words, in other words... boasting sets us all up for a fall. Besides, no one enjoys listening to someone who is constantly building themselves up, especially when our much talk is nothing more than foolish untruths. I think this story is particularly good for young boys who are just beginning to "try on their masculinity" and are beginning to enter that real competitive stage in their development where boasting seems to be a natural way to deal with all the changes taking place.

Prince Talkalot retails for $7.99 and comes with a free study guide printable from the website. Gigi Books offers 3 titles in the picture book series for children ages 3-7 years, Prince Talkalot and another title (for the girls) in their stop and think series, and 2 titles in their classics series. A Christmas Carol work is in progress. If you are looking for some quality audiobooks for your family, you will surely enjoy these offerings which are a good value for the money. Take a look at the website today and watch for new titles in the future.

More GiGi Books!

GiGi Books are dramatic audio books on CD your kids will love. I had the privilege of listening to The Velveteen Rabbit, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Brenda's New Get-Up.

The Velveteen Rabbit comes with a picture book with colorful illustrations. My five year old loves this story and thoroughly enjoyed this audio book.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is an adaptation of the classic by Washington Irving. The character's voices are great. My girls did not want it to end. Dad and I enjoyed it too.

Brenda's New Get-Up is about an eighth grader in a traditional school setting. Although we homeschool, it is story that can be used to talk about pride and character. I quoted many scripture verses during the story. The girls got a "kick" out of "valley girl" voices. Totally cool!!!

Not only are GiGi Books entertaining, but they also have study guides on their website to go along with each audio book.

I must say I liked the classic stories the best. I hope GiGi Books will produce more classics in the future. I have loved sitting back, listening, and giving my voice a break for a change.
