King of Kings

By Ralph W. Moore

Praise, glory, and honor to the King of kings, Who left His glorious throne, gave up being an infinite Spirit in order to take on the limits of human flesh, to come to His own creation to be spat upon and rejected, in order to die on the brutal cross to pay for the heinous crimes of His children, that they might live with the Father forever! Yes, I spat on the Lord many times as he hung on that brutal cross. I hated him without a cause. You did too, if you think about it. Even though He gave us life in order to serve Him, we stole it to serve ourselves. Yes, we rebelled against His right to rule over His own creation. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us—even when we were dead in our transgressions—made us alive in Christ Jesus (by grace we were saved). (Ephesians 2:4, 5) Could anything possibly match the boundless love of our father in sending His beloved Son to pay the penalty for our sins? Thank You, Holy Lord, and may this life bring exceedingly great glory to You, or else it is not worth living. May each and every one of you study for yourselves, and know the true meaning of Easter.
