While we’re looking forward to Christmastime, we don’t want to
overlook another very special holiday season—Thanksgiving! Here
at TOS we’re so thankful for all that the Lord has blessed us with
this year, both physically and spiritually. In the spirit of thanks, we
invited some friends to share some of their special Thanksgiving
traditions with you.
We have special candle clips that fit onto the edge of each person’s
plate. At Thanksgiving, we put them on all the plates around the table.
Before we begin eating, each person takes a turn lighting his candle and
saying what he is thankful for this year. By the time we have gone all the
way around, we have a lovely candlelit table to set the mood for our feast.
We also enjoy preparing a special Thanksgiving Blessing Mix to distribute
at a co-op, church group, neighborhood, or family gathering. You could
also place one of these at each place for your Thanksgiving meal. Enjoy
making these with your kids this Thanksgiving!
